Finance Transformation Specialist, Data & Automation – APAC

This is an APAC regional role within the CFO office, reporting to the APAC Head of Financial Projects and Initiatives. The role will support data and technology enabled initiatives across APAC Finance to improve efficiency, ways of working and standardisation, while also using insights to strengthen Finance’s role as a strategic business partner.

The successful candidate will be hands-on and technically well-versed in data, with a solid understanding of Finance and the ability to use data to understand business challenges, identify opportunities and develop practical solutions. The role will also support Finance led strategic initiatives through analytics, automation, AI and other digital capabilities.

The Opportunity

• Use data and analysis to define business problems, identify opportunities and support evidence-based decision-making.
• Work hands-on with data from multiple sources, including preparing, combining, validating and analysing information to address Finance and business questions.
• Identify manual or inefficient Finance processes and develop practical automation and digital solutions to improve efficiency and ways of working.
• Support Finance strategy and transformation initiatives from initial problem definition through to implementation and benefits tracking.
• Apply analytics, automation, AI and other digital capabilities where they can improve Finance or business outcomes.
• Translate complex data and information into clear insights, presentations and recommendations for Finance and business stakeholders.
• Work with stakeholders across Finance, wider business and global teams to understand requirements, challenge assumptions and shape practical solutions.

Is this role right for you?

• 5+ years of relevant experience across Finance, data and analytics, with a strong track record of translating business problems into practical, technology-enabled solutions.
• Strong hands-on data and analytical capability, including experience preparing, manipulating, analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources.
• Experience with relevant data and analytical tools such as advanced Excel, Power Query, SQL, Power BI or similar technologies.
• Sound understanding of Finance, commercial and business processes, with the ability to use data to support both Finance improvement and wider business decision-making.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify drivers and root causes and turn analysis into meaningful business insights.
• Experience using automation, analytics, AI or other digital technologies to improve processes or solve business problems.
• Experience supporting business improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Excellent communication, presentation and data-storytelling skills, together with strong stakeholder engagement capability.
