The Opportunity

We’re looking to receive expressions of interest for Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Principal Engineers to join our growing Street Lighting Design discipline within Arup’s Intelligent Mobility team. You’ll help deliver lighting and exterior electrical design services across highways, inter-urban networks, and public realm projects in the UK and internationally.

You’ll contribute to the design, development, and delivery of street lighting systems that make roads and public spaces safer, more efficient, and more sustainable supporting the decarbonisation and modernisation of transport and urban environments.

We Welcome Interest from Individuals at All Levels of Experience Who Bring Expertise In:

·       Street lighting design for highways and public realm projects

·       Lighting Reality or other lighting design software

·       Electrical design and compliance with BS 7671 and BS 5489

·       AutoCAD and digital collaboration tools

·       Lighting impact assessments and risk analysis

·       Client engagement and stakeholder coordination

 

 

We’d Love to Hear from You If You Have Any of the Following:

·       A degree or HND in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent)

·       Experience delivering street lighting design packages

·       Working knowledge of BS 5489, BS 7671, and DMRB/MCHW standards

·       Proficiency in Lighting Reality and AutoCAD

·       Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills

·       A proactive approach to learning and professional development
