Joining Arup

Arup’s purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart of over 75 years, guiding how we shape a better world.

Watch this short clip to discover how Arup are shaping a better world and how you could be a part of it!

The Opportunities

We are seeking to receive expressions of interest from experienced Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Consultants throughout the UK! This is an exciting time to join Arup as we sit at the heart of the UK's infrastructure sector, helping companies and projects communicate effectively to achieve their goals. Our record of success has driven rapid growth in the last year, with exciting projects in the pipeline across a range of sectors such as the built environment.

Successful infrastructure and development projects are underpinned by effective community, stakeholder, and political engagement. By empowering communities, businesses, politicians, and institutions to engage in the conversation about development, our stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, and community relations team ensures our clients can respond to ideas and challenges based on robust data and insights from consultation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new chapter at Arup and help us grow our business. To support that growth, we are looking for stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, community relations and public affairs professionals at all levels across the UK. If you offer extensive experience, including team leadership, we have opportunities available that align with your expertise. We have offices throughout the UK and can offer flexibility on which office you choose to work from on a hybrid basis.

We are interested in speaking with individuals with a passion for sustainable development and infrastructure, at all levels of seniority who possess the following skills.

  • Community & public relations.
  • Consultation analysis and reporting.
  • Stakeholder engagement & strategic communications.
  • Digital communications such as social media (content creation, delivery & management).
  • Media & public affairs (management, delivery and measurement).

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with direct experience working  in the built environment, across the consenting process from design through to consent and construction.
