The Opportunity

The Executive Reward Manager reports to the Global Reward Director with a ‘dotted line’ reporting to the Global Head of Reward for broader reward project activity and sits within the Reward Community of Expertise (CoE). The Reward CoE team works across our organisation matrix spanning five regions, our global functions, and over 30 countries to deliver our ambitious Global Reward Strategy, within the context of the overall Arup Strategy.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering reward activity for the senior executive and senior leadership populations and ensuring adherence to corporate governance and regulations.

The Executive Reward Manager will prepare for key Remuneration Committee meetings, handling everything from planning agendas and papers to compensation modelling and benchmarking. Your expertise will ensure we adhere to the UK Corporate Governance Code while constantly refining our remuneration policies.

You’ll lead the annual reward review for senior executives and manage the delivery of tailored packages, ensuring seamless communication and resolving any queries. From drafting the annual Directors' Remuneration Report to supporting audits, you’ll collaborate closely with CoSec and Finance, playing a crucial role in managing disclosures and reporting.

As a trusted advisor, you’ll oversee reward activities for our senior leadership, from pay benchmarking and promotions to managing ad hoc remuneration projects. You'll also have the chance to lead and participate in key projects to operationalize our global reward strategy, all while coaching and mentoring a team of specialists to drive a high-performing Reward CoE.

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.

You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for people who:

  • Have a solid understanding of executive compensation principles and practises.
  • Have Reward management experience within a multi-country, matrixed organisation environment.
  • Have an understanding of UK Corporate Governance and regulatory compliance.
