The opportunity

• This is a full-time (40 hours per week), six-month internship (pasantía) running from January to July 2025.
• Assisting with the development of innovative solutions to environmental problems
• Understanding the regulatory environment in Colombia for gaining approval at different stages of project delivery
• Working with the team to evaluate, select, and apply standard environmental engineering planning and design techniques, procedures, and criteria for site development and master planning projects
• Attending meetings with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues
• Helping review and produce reports for environmental due diligence processes in Colombia and LatAm.

Required:

• Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree (Pregrado) in Environmental Engineering, Biology, or related subjects.
• Sound knowledge of environmental aspects, environmental impact assessment studies, socioenvironmental risk analysis, environmental permits, among others.
• Good communication (written and oral) skills essential for team-based working
• Professional demeanor
• Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
• Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
• Advanced English Skills (verbal and written, B2 or above)
• Must be enrolled at the following universities: Universidad de los Andes, Escuela Colombiana de Ingenieros,  Universidad El Bosque and will need to apply through respective university portal in addition to completing an application in the Arup portal.
