In this role you will contribute to a range of environmental projects and statutory approvals, spanning major infrastructure and smaller scale projects across sectors such as energy, water, and local and state government. The role sits within a regional team based in Brisbane and may involve some interstate travel.
The Opportunity
- To provide core environmental input for a broad range of projects, both within the Queensland Environment and Biodiversity team and for multi-disciplinary projects undertaken in the office/region, particularly major transport projects.
- To support on a range of projects undertaken by the Sustainability Team.
- To provide environmental input to bids and tenders.
- To prepare project reports for clients summarising environmental outcomes and strategically advising on best outcomes.
- To participate in field work with the ecology team as required.
Is this role right for you?
- 3-4 years relevant industry experience in a consulting, private industry or a government environment.
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management, Science, Planning, Engineering or similar.
- Ability to support environmental project delivery, with additional experience assisting on sustainability related work (e.g. ESG reporting, supply chain program development, and materiality assessments) on major transport projects.
- Experience in ArcGIS, specifically creating figures and analysing spatial data.
- Demonstrated experience as a Microsoft Copilot, driving adoption through knowledge sharing and coaching, and contributing to innovative, firm wide initiatives that build AI capability through research and strategic networking.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to internal committees, communities or employee networks, supporting initiatives that enhance culture, inclusion and Corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Salary range for the role: $80k-90k per annum.
