This is a remarkable opening to join our Building Envelope & Materials team as Assistant Engineer / Engineer (Materials) working on projects in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Worldwide. You will be responsible for supporting our project teams and external clients across a wide range of sectors, including buildings, transportation, energy and water. You will provide assessment of existing assets and help in the design of new assets and planning for future durability and sustainability of constructions.

Joining our team presents an outstanding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field of building envelope and materials engineering, while collaborating with professionals from around the world.

  •        Degree in Materials / Civil / Structural Engineering or related discipline
  •        Working towards or possessing chartered membership of relevant professional institutions such as HKIE, IOM3, ICE
  •        At least 2 years of practical experience in consultancy work or project delivery in the construction industry for the position of Assistant Engineer; at least 5 years of practical experience (and 2 years after Chartership) for the position of Engineer
  •         Knowledge and experience on construction material; knowledge specifically on concrete will be prioritized. 
  • Strong interest and skill in at least two or more of the following:
    • Application and testing of construction materials,
    • Condition survey
    • Durability and deterioration assessment, including evaluating cracking risk of concrete during hardening using FEA software,
    • Failure investigation
    • Corrosion engineering
    • Life-cycle assessment of construction materials,
    • Carbon management and innovative new low-carbon materials
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese
