Junior Energy Engineer

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Energy Consultant to join our Energy team in our Delhi office, India. As Arup, we pride ourselves on our extensive support network globally and our strength in numbers.  

This role will support the further growth, development, and service delivery of the energy consulting team, with a particular focus on electrical engineering aspects of our projects, but also business development support and project management support of PV, wind, battery storage, green hydrogen, and mini/micro- grid projects. Focus on grid-connections and large-project context, structure and role players are important. Financial acumen, with respect to energy projects and project finance will be a bonus along with project management support to the lead Project Manager for the delivery of lenders technical advisory, owner’s engineer, and design services within the renewable energy sector across the project lifecycle.

Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with the following experience –

  • B.E or BSC. in Electrical engineering, preferably with a further qualification in renewable energy and candidate registration with professional engineering organization. Design experience in renewable energy projects will be an advantage
  • 2-3 years’ experience working on renewable energy projects.
  • Writing technical reports & presentations, compiling design drawings and presentations
  • Preparation of bids and proposals. Support Senior Engineers in winning work.
  • Energy yield assessments (wind & solar)
  • PVSyst, HomerPro & WindPro experience is advantageous.
