The Opportunity
You will play a key role in the Buildings Services Team, taking responsibility for the team performance, technical excellence, and project delivery.The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical building services systems across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use developments, infrastructure facilities, and mission-critical environments such as data centers. The role requires strong technical expertise in electrical engineering design, multidisciplinary coordination, and compliance with local and international standards, supporting projects through concept, detailed design, tender, and construction phases. Experience with data centers and infrastructure projects, particularly in resilient and high-availability power systems, is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems including HV/LV power distribution, substations, transformers, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, MCCs, generators, UPS systems, lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, emergency power, and fire alarm interfaces.
- Prepare load calculations, demand assessments, equipment sizing calculations, power system studies, and electrical design reports.
- Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, riser diagrams, layouts, technical specifications, and schedules.
- Perform voltage drop, short-circuit, protection coordination, discrimination, fault level, and earthing studies.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and compliant design solutions.
- Ensure adherence to local authority regulations, international codes, and project requirements.
- Support renewable energy integration, including solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging infrastructure.
- Deliver designs that prioritize safety, maintainability, constructability, energy efficiency, and operational resilience.
- Utilize Revit, ETAP/Amtech, Dialux (or equivalent), MS Office, and BIM coordination platforms throughout project delivery.
Is this role right for you?
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering with relevant building services design experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems design, analysis, and coordination within multidisciplinary environments.
- Experience working on commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, infrastructure, or data center projects.
- Proficient in Revit, ETAP/Amtech, Dialux, and BIM workflows.
- Knowledge of international codes, standards, and authority requirements.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Middle East projects and mission-critical facilities is an added advantage.
