Electrical Engineer
The Opportunity
We currently have a vacancy for an Electrical Engineer to join our growing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health) team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate is looking to further develop their career and gain invaluable experience in Building Services within an international environment.
This is a permanent position offering excellent career development prospects and the opportunity to be involved in a diverse and challenging range of design projects across all sectors, including mission-critical, healthcare, commercial, industrial, and educational assignments. You will be jointly responsible for the design of various projects and expected to guide them from initial briefing through schematic and detailed design to installation and delivery.
Within our MEP team, you will serve our clients through leading-edge projects. These projects reflect our vision to design and deliver regenerative buildings that add value to society.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be:
- Preparing design and contract documentation and specifications
- Project planning
- Possessing or developing presentation skills
- Designing systems including calculations, cable sizing, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, ICT systems, security systems, and vertical transport
- Coordinating work with all members of the design team (architects, engineers of all disciplines, QS, etc.)
- Ensuring all designs and documents are produced to the highest standards
- Conducting conceptual design studies and reports
- Liaising with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to define the constraints of the electrical design and coordinate with other disciplines regarding electrical requirements and their impact

- A completed technical education (electrical engineering or building services engineering) at HBO level or higher
- Approximately 2 years of relevant work experience in a consultancy environment
- Experience in electrical engineering
- Knowledge and experience with discipline-relevant software such as Amtech, Caneco, SKM
- Experience in designing key electrical systems for buildings, such as HV/LV distribution, lighting and controls, grounding, etc.
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
- A team player, proactive, and someone who sees themselves as an ambassador for the company
Key differentiators:
- Eager to gain more experience in science, industry, and technology (SIT) projects
- Knowledge of Dutch codes, standards, and permitting requirements
- Revit experience
