The role 

We are looking for an EDMS systems administrator to expand the existing team’s capability to host and service projects on Autodesk’s Construction Cloud platform, with a focus on BIM 360/Autodesk Docs.

Working as part of our global technical software services (TSS) team, you will also assist with the day-to-day running and maintenance of other EDMS solutions such as Bentley’s ProjectWise estate in order to provide agile solutions combining processes, practices, and tools whilst supporting engineering projects and teams.

This will involve working closely with project teams and business leaders to define requirements, design and implementing solutions that support project delivery, automating and streamlining our operations and processes.

The global technical software services team designs, delivers, operates, and supports the advanced engineering software and platform used by Arup’s engineers to deliver world-class outcomes to our clients.

The role reports to the global head of technical software services, based in Brisbane.

You should apply if:

  • You have multiple years experience administrating Autodesk BIM 360 on large multidisciplinary projects within both the Buildings and Infrastructure sectors

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Design, implementation, operation and support of the Autodesk Construction Cloud solution and associated services within the UKIMEA and Europe regions to meet the needs of the business
  • Liaise with Project Directors/Managers, BIM Managers, and other project personnel to understand complex project requirements, develop appropriate technical solutions
  • Provide Level 3 support by managing support requests via ServiceNow for BIM 360/Autodesk Docs and associated services, escalating to vendor support when required
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and provide support services to technical software service teams in other regions providing support, collaborating and knowledge sharing
  • Keep up to date with software products, trends, and supplier changes. Understand the vendors’ roadmaps, upcoming releases, new functionalities, and capabilities, liaising closely with the Strategic Partnerships team to promote and share knowledge across the business
  • Plan and coordinate trials and pilots of updates and new technical services to meet the needs of the business
  • Design, produce and deliver training to the business community

Requirements and skills

Essential skills and knowledge:

  • Experience of working within large multidisciplinary projects and/or infrastructure clients and the configuration and application of BIM 360/Autodesk Docs on the projects
  • Significant professional experience with ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Working knowledge in the application of BS1192, PAS1192 and the ISO19650 suite of standards is essential
  • Experience developing and maintaining strategic relationships with clients, industry peer groups, partners and vendors
  • Working knowledge of technical design software solutions (including Autodesk suites, Bentley suites, Trimble and GIS) across all disciplines to be able to advise on best practice, interoperability, integration and workflows

  • Recognised qualification in a numerate, computer science or engineering discipline is desirable
