This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to play a key role in supporting the delivery of diverse and complex projects. You will ensure robust, consistent, and timely management of all documentation, support Arup’s internal processes and maintaining high QA standards. You’ll work closely with technical teams, project managers, and client representatives, helping to streamline workflows and enable project success. This role offers the chance to expand your skill set and make a tangible impact on project outcomes.

As a Document Controller at Arup, you will:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for information exchange and workflow protocols on the project Common Data Environment (CDE).

  • Verify the quality and compliance of all deliverables (documents and drawings) before release.

  • Manage and track responses to Technical Submittals (TS) and Requests For Information (RFIs).

  • Maintain accurate, well-organised, and accessible documentation records and metadata.

  • Support workload planning, timely delivery of project milestones, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Does this role inspire you?

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about enabling project success through structured information management and collaborative teamwork. We also value:

  • Experience in document control, ideally within engineering, construction, or consultancy environments.

  • Proficiency in multiple extranet platforms (CDEs), such as Procore, ProjectWise, Aconex, or Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360).

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-volume data accurately and independently.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across distributed or remote teams.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam Revu, and enthusiastic about learning new digital tools and methods. Experience with Revit/BIM is considered an advantage.

  • Enthusiasm for learning new tools, digital methods, and modern ways of working.
