Digital Project Manager

Role

We're looking for a Project Manager to join our professional Digital Services team to work on variety of programmes and projects relating to the built environment and focusing on the delivery of value-added services to our clients in Ireland and abroad.


Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be involved in managing and delivering projects of a technical and operational nature for both internal and external clients. The candidate will also be involved in a hands-on role in the delivery of many elements of the project including research and reporting. The scope of the role will include but not limited to:

  • Understanding client requirements, asking relevant questions in order to efficiently identify the tasks required deliver the project.
  • Working with colleagues, peers and management to deliver tasks to meet the client’s needs
  • Researching and developing documentation on specific project topics which may be required as part of the project delivery
  • Reviewing and QA’ing documentation being produced as part of project delivery.
  • Administering and Assisting in Project Team Meetings
  • Setting up and maintaining Project Plans, Records, Reports, Logs and Registers
  • Managing the smooth flow of information throughout the team
  • Recording and reporting project progress
  • Prepare and Maintaining Project data
  • Managing the support service for a range of websites used by clients and other Arup businesses 
  • Part of the project team to select a new cloud-based helpdesk/support service solution
  • Manage the implementation of the selected online helpdesk/support service for use by the team

Requirements
  • Strong experience of project management or working in a project controls/project management environment
  • Experience in application of industry-standard project management processes such as Prince2, PMI or Agile approaches such as Scrum
  • Experience of managing a support service for a software system or website
  • Ideally have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Planning, monitoring and reporting on complex projects
  • Experience in delivery of technical or operational projects, particularly in the built environment
  • Need to have proven experience of leading projects and front-line client engagement
  • Strong project scheduling related computer skills utilizing MS Project and spreadsheets
  • Strong independent judgment and analytical abilities including project delivery methodologies from business planning through construction to post-completion benefits realisation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team working, communication, problem solving, presentation skills and stakeholder management
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing activities and people simultaneously while meeting deadlines, with a strong focus on quality
  • Degree qualified in IT, Software, Engineering, Construction or related discipline
