We embed digital processes and tools throughout the whole lifecycle of a project, from inception and design, to construction, management, maintenance and retrofit. We are highly involved in Digital Twin projects for cities and Asset Management tools for large scale portfolio clients.
The Opportunity
This is your chance to join our Digital Services team in Madrid. We are looking for people with analytical skills and a passion for consulting on complex projects in the built environment: on a building, city, and infrastructure scale.
As a Digital Advisory Trainee at Arup, you will:
Deliver projects in the field of digital transformation for different clients from the public and private sector
Write and prepare deliverables for the client under the supervision of project managers
Assist in the preparation of offers and tenders
Conduct interviews, workshops, meetings related to the corresponding consulting projects
Collaborate across a wide range of work areas, including smart buildings, smart cities, digital twins

We are looking for someone proactive and dynamic who is willing to develop their career in this area. Ideally, you’ll bring:
Currently studying Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or similar with interest or experience in programming.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
Basic programming skills: Javascript, React, python, and experience/interest in BIM/GIS technologies.
To feel comfortable working as a generalist specialist: able to work on different topics and projects and be able to delve deeper into some areas (smart construction, decarbonization, smart cities, infrastructure... all related to the built environment.
Have an eye for detail and design: High presentation skills and experience in presenting work results.
Data-driven analytical thinking and problem solving.
To enjoy a creative and unpredictable process, thrive in a rapidly changing environment, and be enthusiastic about designing strategies and methodologies to address complex problems.
High level of English and Spanish (C1).
Conditions
Be enrolled in the university to be able to establish an agreement with the University
Immediate incorporation
Duration: 6 months of extendable internship (possibility of joining after completing the internship)
Schedule: From 20 to 40 hours per week to be defined with the student
Remuneration: will depend on the student's level of training and the number of hours established.
