Data Centre Business Leader 

We are looking for a Data Centre Business Leader to continue the growth of our business in the Netherlands. The role requires significant senior leadership experience in client-facing positions, complex multidisciplinary projects delivery experience, and ability to work with large teams.

Responsibilities 

  • Client-focused, commercially driven leader who develops and executes the business strategy and annual business plans.
  • Provides work-winning and delivery leadership for major projects in the data centre market.
  • Provides best-in-class client relationship management, either directly or through a team, establishing strong colleague and client networks.
  • Leads the delivery of design and/or project management for data centre projects, acting as senior project manager or project director ensuring all designs and documents are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Attends external and internal industry events, speaking engagements. Uses own and Arup’s network to engage with clients.
  • Integrates and innovates for sustainable solutions in the delivery of projects and shaping client’s strategies.
  • Identifies future markets and pro-actively engages with existing and potential clients.
  • Builds an engaging, empowering, and collaborative environment.
  • Creates a learning culture, enabling others to push boundaries. 

 

Your technical and personal competencies 

  • Experience in the data centre market 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex large-scale multidisciplinary projects, acting as the main point of contact for clients and being responsible for the overall project success. Technical knowledge and experience are essential to be a team and business leader.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player working in teams, leading people, and transferring knowledge.
  • Passion for sustainable, low carbon and innovative strategies on projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, inquisitive, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Ability to travel if / when necessary.
