Cost Advisory Consultant Intern (May - August 2025)

The opportunity
- Collaborate with design professionals, project collaborators, and relevant parties to understand the scope and impact of proposed projects
- Prepare various analyses such as cost estimating, and risk modeling, and support on constructability assessments of projects
- Work with a team of engineers and consultants to recognize the impacts and cost of labor, material, and other resources for a project
- Understand how to read and analyze drawings digitally and manually. Perform quantity take-offs
- Develop high-level and detailed construction cost estimates
- Request, handle and review relevant project data, studies, plans, and contextual issues
- Prepare analyses, draw conclusions, make recommendations
- Assist in presentations of the above to satisfy client requirements and goals

Qualifications - Required
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, economics, business or finance, or similar with coursework in engineering, economics, business and/or applied math/sciences
- Strong curiosity about infrastructure project development, delivery and/or operations
- Knowledge of basic business and operational concepts
- Strong quantitative skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and outstanding organization skills required for our evolving environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed for team-based working
- Presentation skills with colleagues and clients at all levels
- Analytical approach
- Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills
- Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future
Preferred
- Familiarity with project management tools and techniques
- Flexibility and Out-of-the-Box innovative thinking

Toronto Hiring Range – The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Toronto is $21.00 to $33.00 per hour. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Toronto will differ.
