We are looking for a Communications Coordinator for the Arup Americas communications team who will work across essential communications with an emphasis on internal engagement.

As a Communications Coordinator at Arup Americas, you will be at the heart of our dynamic and ambitious marketing and communications team. The Opportunity  

  •  Contribute to the regional internal communications strategy through the execution of daily task for internal engagement campaigns, which involves identifying story angles, drafting emails, developing internal stories, talking to leaders at various levels, managing internal communications channels, and bringing to gear engagement activities.
  • Promote organizational change and growth by supporting key communication priorities, ensuring authentic messaging, and building compelling internal content delivered in a timely manner.
  • Produce internal campaigns and newsletters, maintain editorial calendar, interview experts, craft/edit stories, and share content through global internal channels.
  • Manage and develop internal announcements using email marketing tools.
  • Provide support for the People/HR team and recruitment marketing and communications.
  • Plan, coordinate, research, and complete communications campaigns.
  • Maintain a master calendar of communications priorities.
  • Measure, monitor, report, and package communications performance tied to key Performance Indicators.
  • Draft, edit, and contribute to impact in various presentation formats.
  • Build external communications content as needed, including awards submissions, writing project pages and media updates.
  • Provide daily media tracking and measurement by flagging relevant media stories.
  • Track awards and conference opportunities and guide the submission process.

Is this role right for you?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a coordinated communication coordinator or executive assistant role; at least one year of administrative experience preferred.
  • Internal communications of People/HR team experience preferred, or experience with AEC business, innovation, and impact sectors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple activities and deadlines with great attention to detail and a degree of autonomy.
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills with the ability to find innovative solutions is a must. 
  • A proactive attitude and an ability to work within a team environment and with staff of all levels. 
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of new tasks on a project-by-project basis.
  • Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and SharePoint are major assets.
  • Experience with the following software: Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to accommodate varying schedules as needed.

San Francisco Hiring Range – Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in San Francisco is $90,050 to $94,200 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of San Francisco will differ.
