As a world leader in its field, Arup offers the full spectrum of civil engineering consulting services.  As part of the Civil Infrastructure team, this role covers a broad range of skills relating to civil design.  You will be a key member of the team where your previous experience in civil drafting will aim to enhance the team’s portfolio of skills and expertise in this area, while still promoting your growth and career aspirations.
  
About you
As a successful candidate for this role you will be able to demonstrate: 
•    Recognised relevant qualifications in Drafting
•    Experience in the operation of software including MicroStation and AutoCAD packages
•    Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments
•    Motivated and driven to be involved, responsible and accountable for tasks as delegated.
•    Ability to remain positively motivated and foster team spirit at times of significant pressure, including assisting others to meet deadlines
•    Ability to relate and work well with people at all levels within the team and within the wider office, as well as externally with clients
•    Desire to excel and widen experience

About the role
•    Work with some autonomy on defined tasks or projects, with limited supervision
•    Accountability for submitting high quality work that is accurate and meets quality standards
•    Drafting tasks to meet client requirements for the documentation of various civil infrastructure design projects and related areas
•    Compliance with quality procedures and ensuring that drawing products comply with the requirements of the project management plans and CADD Manual
•    Communication with the team to allow accurate reporting of progress
•    Usage of a combination of standard and modified drafting methods/techniques in order to solve problems
•    Own professional development in line with market/industry standards through training and knowledge building exercises both as provided by Arup and pursued independently.
•    Preparation of professional technical documents.
