About the role

The focus of this role is to produce civil and structural engineering design for projects including major rail 
and road infrastructure. The successful candidate must coordinate and liaise with external parties in 
producing engineering designs; manage the production of drawings and reports and prepare co-ordinating 
structural specifications.

The scope of this role includes the following:
• You will be expected to work under minimal supervision within a defined area of responsibility on design activities.  This may include being responsible for specific parts of an internal or external design project, managing and carry out detailed design.
• You will be responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own and others work.  Furthermore, you may be responsible for the development of others through providing guidance, training and feedback.  
• Your work will encompass authoring non-standard letters, reports and other documentation.
• You will be responsible for representing your team or group at external meetings, coordinating work on the design project.

About you

You must be familiar with Singapore Codes and Practices, contract administration and submission procedures. You should be able to demonstrate strong design ability and engineering skills and knowledge; proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.

You must be able to quickly develop successful client relationships; able to work independently with minimum supervision; Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines is essential.

In addition, you will have the following technical skills and personal attributes:
• Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
• Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges
• Supporting the firm’s compliance in maintaining ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirement.
• Knowledge of major design software
• Microsoft Office:
    Outlook 2007 or similar (Intermediate)
    Word (Intermediate)
    Excel (Basic - Intermediate)
    PowerPoint (Basic)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Other relevant duties as required.
