Working under the Transport and Civils team, you will lead or assist to lead in the planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects across a diverse portfolio primarily the transport infrastructure and general civils site / land development projects. The role will also support the general civils site design (.e.g. site evaluation / development, road, earthworks, stormwater drainage and layout of utilities) of project from 
other business groups / units e.g. energy / resources (ERW), cities planning / design (CPD), and properties / science / industries (PSI).

You will apply advanced engineering judgement to develop innovative and practical solutions, manage or assist in managing project deliverables, supervise lesser experienced staffs, and ensure designs meet quality, safety and commercial objectives.  

The Opportunity

  • Technical leadership (or assistance) in the delivery of wide range of civil infrastructure projects such as linear infrastructure (e.g. roads / streets / highways, rail, utilities), water / wastewater plants, energy and resources plants and access infrastructure, and large site development projects
  • Initiate production and checking of general civils design (existing and proposed site plan / layout, road, grading / earthworks and stormwater drainage) calculations and models / drawings and interface clashing with other utilities in accordance with local and international codes and standards such as DPWH DGCS, AASHTO, FHWA, etc. 
  • Supervise and / or assist in design layouts and clash checking of other utilities e.g. sewerage, potable, firewater, telecoms, electrical, etc.) 
  • Works mainly with minimal supervision, capable of leading a small team of civil design engineers and drafters / modelers (technicians) 
  • Provide technical due diligence and site development master planning and progress to feasibility, concept, preliminary and detailed design development

Is this role right for you?

  • Licensed Civil Engineer; post-graduate studies will be an advantage. 
  • With at least 8 years’ relevant experience, preferably gained from multi-disciplinary consulting firms and similar industries 
  • Experience in linear civil infrastructure (roads, highways, bridges, railways) and land development projects (airports, reclamation, industrial parks, residential communities 
  • Experience in using design tools such as AutoCAD and Civil3D is preferred but eperience in using 12D and OpenRoads would be considered an advantage 
  • Ability to work and blend well with the team and cross-functional disciplines as well as other stakeholders
  • Good oral and written English communication skills; and developed ethical communication to raise important things that might have been missed by more senior project team members
