Civil Engineer

The focus of this role is to provide infrastructures consulting engineering services to clients of Arup Malaysia.
As a Civil Engineer, you will aim to develop key knowledge and skills that will allow you to provide a high-quality consultant service. This may take the form of undertaking relevant modelling, analytical research, and design work within your relevant business area. There will be a structured career plan and development program to assist you in attaining the desired level of knowledge and skills.
The Opportunity
- Provide detailed design work across a broad range of projects within civil engineering.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of tender submissions and presentations.
- Prepare project reports summarising key assumptions, design methodologies, and conclusions and recommendations.
- Where appropriate, liaise with other groups within the geography and more broadly across the region, providing expertise on infrastructures engineering as appropriate.
- Effectively manage the time, quality and performance of allocated tasks and assist in the on-going development and maintenance of quality systems within Malaysia office.

Is this role right for you?
- Recognized relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil & Structural Engineering or similar area with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Civil and
- Civil works within a consulting business environment.
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership and familiar with
- British/Malaysian and other international Codes and Practices, knowledge of EuroCode and BIM Standard is an added advantage.
- Autodesk (CAD, Civil 3D, Infrawork, Naviswork)
- Awareness/knowledge of coding and scripting software (e.g. VBA, Python, Dynamo, Grasshopper or similar);
- Awareness/knowledge of digital tools and software (e.g. ArcGIS, OpenRoad, MITS, IPANET, HEC-RAS, Rhinoceros 3D, Bluebeam, ProjectWise, or similar)
