The Opportunity
The Global Programs Change Manager role plays a key role in driving and supporting change management across Arup’s global portfolio of major projects and programs (internal). This role will contribute to the establishment and ongoing management of a new internal PMO capability for Arup by leading change management practices to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of change into the firm and building internal change management competency to sustain this practice ongoing.
The Role
This role involves collaborating with the central PMO team and program managers to develop and implement change management strategies aligned with Arup’s strategic, program, and project goals. It requires establishing and applying standardized yet adaptable change management practices to enhance consistency and efficiency. Tasks include advising and coaching stakeholders on change methodologies, assessing stakeholder impacts, and integrating change initiatives across complex workstreams. The role leads change planning efforts, including communications, training, and readiness assessments, while ensuring delivery of key milestones. It involves evaluating change initiatives through data and feedback, reporting outcomes, and addressing execution risks in coordination with senior leaders. Additionally, the position manages communication channels to maintain stakeholder engagement, contributes to governance reporting, and promotes association among program and change managers. A key focus is on building long-term change management capability, aligning initiatives with cultural transformation goals, tracking KPIs, and refining governance processes. Feedback loops are established to capture lessons learned and drive ongoing improvement in change management approaches.

This role requires the following types of key internal relationships:
- Program Delivery Leader and core PMO team.
- Program executive sponsors.
- Individual Program and Project owners across all regions
- Leaders and other key staff from other Regions.
- Arup members.
- Functional working relationships across Arup.

Is This Role Right For You?
We are interested in the following skills:
- Proven experience in developing change management practices and programs and delivering complex change through different parts of an organisation.
- Solid comprehension of the impact of change on people and the processes required to enable change to have long‐lasting effect.
- Experience in development and execution of change management communication strategies and informing the design and delivery of training programs to enhance change acceptance.
- Experience in engaging diverse audiences and developing localised, relevant content for them.
- Strong verbal influencing and written communication skills, including report writing for senior stakeholder groups.
- Experience in large scale business transformation programs.
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used for project and change management (e.g., MS Teams, Miro, Power BI, SharePoint, or equivalent collaboration tools).
