The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate CAD/BIM Technician with a desire for technical excellence, who enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams and nurturing technical skills across team to be part of our Building Services Engineering Team in the Mauritius Office.  The successful candidate will be expected to work on a number of projects, contributing to the production of all MEP CAD and Building Information Modelling deliverables. Our projects are local, regional and international and will allow you to work and succeed in a multi-cultural business environment. Production of MEP CAD and Building Information Modelling deliverables across a diverse range of projects with minimal supervision. Modelling of a range of MEP services, including, but not limited to mechanical pipework, ventilation, lighting power, containment and drainage. Self-checking own drawings, models and BIM processes for accuracy and quality of output. Ensuring required standards are met. Contributing to the holistic use of BIM. Working on a range of projects to ensure deadlines are met on time and on budget. Help to resolve BIM/Revit/CAD coordination and design issues as well as troubleshooting problems. Coordination of services using Revit and Navisworks.

Is this role right for you?

  • Diploma/Certificate in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical from Technical Institute(s) or equivalent.
  • Relevant knowledge in using computer tools for drafting and/or BIM modelling, e.g. AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge within the building services industry (consultancy or contractor).
  • Good realization of model and drawing production using Revit MEP.
  • Knowledge of MEP systems and how services should be routed and coordinated to a design level of detail.
