The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Electrical BIM Designer to support the development, coordination, and delivery of Building Information Modelling (BIM) projects across Electrical disciplines. The primary focus will revolve around leveraging Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodologies to contribute to the seamless integration of design and construction processes.
- Working under minimal direct guidance within a defined area of responsibility, this role includes being responsible for specific parts of an external design project;
- Check & ensure the quality and accuracy of ones own and potentially the work of others. Furthermore, the role may be responsible for the development of others by providing guidance, training and feedback;
- Authoring non-standard letters, reports and other documentation may be required of this role from time to time;
- Represent your team or group at external meetings. The role may be involved in developing events, activities and internal projects of some complexity.
- Participate in research, data analysis, and fact-checking processes to support accurate reporting, especially in BIM. Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather insights and content. Focus on report structure, formatting, and adherence to style guidelines. Assist in reviewing and editing reports for grammar, clarity, and coherence. Participate in report delivery to stakeholders, engaging in follow-up discussions and action plans.
- Collaborate with the team to assist in leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) implementation for projects and teams, gaining foundational knowledge in BIM processes.
- Support the development and enforcement of BIM standards and protocols.
- Concurrently train to be BIM Coordinator/Managers.
- Assist in collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to create BIM models and ensuring data consistency and coordination between disciplines.

Is this role right for you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, from a recognized university or an equivalent institution.
- At least 3+ years of Relevant MEP Building Services experience within a consulting business environment.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Cloud Construction (ACC), BIM360, Revit, Bluebeam and Navisworks.
- Relevant experience in various projects phases, from concept development to construction.
- Proven ability to uphold high standards in work, meticulously reviewing all aspects to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to tackle challenges strategically, identifying root causes and exploring innovative solutions with a critical mindset.
- Demonstratable ability to embrace change with resilience, quickly adjusting and learning in dynamic environments.
- Ability to foster a creative approach to problem-solving, generating fresh ideas and encouraging an environment of innovation.
- Proven ability for continuous growth, quickly absorbing new knowledge and adapting to industry trends.
