As the NSW Aviation Business Leader, you will drive the strategic growth of Arup's aviation business across New South Wales while contributing to the continued success of the Australia and New Zealand Transport Portfolio. You will leverage your industry expertise, commercial acumen and strong client relationships to expand Arup's aviation services, secure major opportunities and deliver innovative solutions across the aviation sector. Working collaboratively with local, regional and global teams, you will help shape the future of aviation infrastructure and sustainable transport across the region.
The Opportunity
- Lead aviation business development across New South Wales by identifying, pursuing and securing strategic opportunities with existing and new aviation clients.
- Develop and implement a NSW-focused aviation growth strategy aligned with Arup's regional business objectives and long-term market priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airport authorities, government agencies, consultants and industry stakeholders to strengthen Arup's market presence.
- Lead and support major pursuits by contributing to bids, project development, reporting, quality assurance, health and safety compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Australia, New Zealand and the wider Arup network to deliver innovative aviation solutions and grow the Transport Portfolio.

Is this role right for you?
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering, Aviation or a related discipline, supported by membership of relevant professional institutions.
- Extensive experience within the aviation industry, ideally gained in a consulting environment, with a proven track record of delivering commercial and operational success.
- Deep expertise across one or more areas of the aviation project lifecycle, including airport planning, aviation engineering, brownfield and greenfield airport development, ORAT, planning approvals, sustainable aviation, advanced air mobility or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of the aviation industry across APAC and Australia and New Zealand, with an established professional reputation and a strong client network, particularly within New South Wales.
- Excellent leadership, business development and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence strategic outcomes, secure major opportunities and build lasting client relationships.
