About the Role
This role’s primary focus is to lead and input to a range of environmental-related projects and associated statutory approvals, either in support of a wider team or as the Environmental Lead. This will include full range of projects from large infrastructure projects to smaller projects across a range of sectors including energy, local and state government, maritime, and water.
To support the execution and delivery of the and Environmental and broader business strategies, specifically supporting the continued growth and develop of the Arup environmental practice within VIC and the Australasian region more broadly.

This role will also be responsible for:
•    Re-enforcing the Arup brand, and supporting the growth of the environmental business in VIC, while assisting the other regional teams.
•    Leading and delivering large complex EIS submissions and supporting similar projects primarily in VIC and to some extent across other Australian jurisdictions.
•    Helping to recruit, develop, mentor, and empower environmental planners and other individuals in VIC and regional team.
•    Closely collaborating with Business Leaders to secure work and negotiate major contracts.
•    Developing and maintaining client relations and of representing Arup at a high level regionally, nationally, and to some extent internationally.

About you and your profile for success:
As an experienced professional in the field, you will be able to demonstrate:
•    Strong client brand and industry experience in major infrastructure projects within a consulting or government business environment.
•    Proven track record in building effective and meaningful client relationships.
•    Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines – and related procedures including OH&S.
•    Ability to build diverse project teams with various skills and personalities.
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills (including formal and informal presentations, written communications and reports).
•    Creative, innovative, and able to deliver solutions within constraints of project budget.
