Join our dynamic Melbourne Environment and Biodiversity Team, an expanding group with a robust portfolio of projects. As a key player in this role, you will spearhead environmental impact assessments, navigating both Victorian and Commonwealth approvals processes, including Environment Effects Statements and Environmental Impact Statements.
You'll engage in a variety of National, State, and local infrastructure and development projects, with a special emphasis on renewable energy, maritime transport (both nearshore and offshore), water resources, and mine rehabilitation.
Additionally, you'll contribute to the execution and delivery of our environmental business strategy, playing a pivotal role in the ongoing growth and development of Arup's environmental practice in Victoria and throughout the Australasian region. We are open to full time and flexible part time arrangements.


What will I do?

  • Leadership in Environmental Impact Assessments: Drive and lead comprehensive environmental impact assessments, ensuring compliance with Victorian and Commonwealth approvals processes, including Environment Effects Statements (EES) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS).
  • Project Management Across Diverse Sectors: Manage and oversee National, State, and local infrastructure and development projects, with a particular focus on renewable energy, nearshore and offshore maritime transport, water resources, and mine rehabilitation.
  • Strategic Execution and Delivery: Contribute to the successful execution and delivery of our environmental business strategy, fostering the continued growth and development of Arup's environmental practice within Victoria and the broader Australasian region.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and sustainability, leveraging expertise across various sectors to deliver innovative and effective environmental solutions.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals and objectives.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Champion the integration of cutting-edge technologies and best practices in environmental assessments, continuously improving processes and outcomes.

  • Leadership in Environmental Projects: Showcase your exceptional ability to lead project teams through complex environmental assessments, planning, and approval processes.
