Help deliver complex infrastructure projects through accurate, insightful and collaborative schedule management.
Arup’s purpose, shared values and collaborative approach have set us apart for 80 years, guiding how we shape a better world.
Our project and programme management specialists help clients deliver complex infrastructure with confidence. By combining technical knowledge, robust project controls and close collaboration, we provide the insight needed to manage risks, maintain progress and support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to support the delivery of a major infrastructure programme by helping maintain reliable site schedules and providing clear visibility of project progress, milestones, risks and opportunities. Working closely with the Scheduler, project teams, contractors and the programme management office, you will support schedule management at site level and contribute to the effective coordination of schedule information into the programme master schedule. You will also help assess the impact of changes, maintain accurate reporting and ensure key timeline information is communicated clearly to relevant stakeholders.
As an Assistant Scheduler at Arup, you will:
- Support the management and maintenance of accurate site-level project schedules.
- Monitor and report project progress, key milestones, schedule conflicts, risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate schedule inputs and performance data from multiple sources for integration into the programme master schedule.
- Assess the impact of schedule changes and communicate updated timelines to relevant project stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of project and programme status reports.
- Assist with scheduling and resource management across complex, large-scale projects and programmes.
- Help develop critical-path schedules using project information, stakeholder interviews and planning workshops.
- Work with contractors and project teams to establish effective and consistent progress-reporting approaches.
- Contribute to project governance, quality management and continuous improvement of schedule-management processes.

- At least three years of experience in schedule management, with a proven track record of supporting high-value road, infrastructure or similarly large and complex projects.
- Experience coordinating schedule inputs and performance data, maintaining project schedules and producing clear project or programme status reports.
- Strong knowledge of critical-path scheduling, resource management, progress reporting and project controls within architectural, engineering or construction environments.
- Advanced proficiency in scheduling systems, including the administration of layouts, resources, reports and coding structures, together with strong Microsoft Office skills.
Demonstrated experience using Primavera P6 for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and reporting.
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively, resolve issues and deliver accurate work in a challenging project environment.
