Arup Poland’s Public Health team is a group of reliable, experienced and creative engineers delivering, among others, projects for industrial facilities, sports venues and public buildings, covering water supply and wastewater installations and networks.
We use proven methods as well as modern tools and software that streamline our work and enable control over the project throughout its entire development and delivery process. BIM technology is an integral part of our projects, allowing us not only to design a fully functioning facility, but also to use it for project management.
Collaboration with the best suppliers, effective team coordination and listening to market needs mean our projects are high quality, noticed and appreciated by current and potential clients.
As an Assistant Sanitary Installations Designer at Arup, you will:
Support designers in project delivery.
Contribute to technical analyses, modelling and reporting, applying your academic knowledge to solve real-world problems.
Take part in site visits, client meetings and design workshops, gaining valuable industry experience.
Work in a multidisciplinary team with talented senior engineers and assistants who share the ambition to create a better world.
Contribute to iconic projects—from laboratories and data centres to museums and commercial and residential buildings—that support sustainable development.
Our goal is to help you further develop a range of technical skills and apply them to deliver new, outstanding outcomes. With guidance and support from our senior engineers, you will have the opportunity to gain professional experience.
Your duties will also include:
Performing design calculations.
Preparing drawings for sanitary installations and networks: water supply, wastewater and fire protection (AutoCAD, Revit) at various project stages.
Editing / preparing design documentation.
Participating in design meetings; supporting and coordinating the work of Junior Assistants and Interns.

We are looking for people with initial professional experience in a design environment—who identify with our vision and would like to take part in many, often iconic, Arup projects in an international setting. To ensure Arup can continue to deliver the highest quality, these are the essential skills and qualifications for the position:
At least 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Designer (or similar) in a design office, preparing designs for water, wastewater and fire protection systems.
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, specialising in water supply and treatment of wastewater and waste (or a related field).
Knowledge of fire protection design, including sprinkler systems, will be an additional advantage.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and InstalSoft.
Use English at a level that allows for confident communication (minimum B2).
Demonstrate a proactive attitude and strong commitment.
