Our Program, Project and Commercial Management (PPM) team works across some of the most exciting and complex projects in infrastructure, transportation, science and industry, technology, healthcare and the built environment. We support clients as trusted advisors, lead owner-side project management commissions and help deliver multidisciplinary design projects that improve communities and create lasting value.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant Project and Commercial Manager to join our growing PPM team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise across project management, commercial management and project controls whilst working alongside experienced Project Managers, Project Directors and technical leaders.

You will support both owner-side project management commissions and Arup-led design delivery projects, helping clients and project teams successfully plan, govern and deliver projects from inception through completion.

Whether supporting a major infrastructure program, coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, developing project reporting, tracking commercial performance or helping manage project risk, you will play a key role in delivering successful outcomes for our clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to develop into a well-rounded project management professional.

  • Support the planning, management and delivery of projects throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Prepare project management plans, progress reports, dashboards and presentations.

  • Maintain action logs, decision registers, risk registers and project performance reporting.

  • Support project financial management, forecasting and budgeting activities.

  • Assist with project controls activities, including progress tracking, schedule reviews and performance reporting.

  • Support commercial management, contract administration, change management and risk management processes.

  • Contribute to proposals, pursuits and business development activities where appropriate.

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.

You will have the opportunity to do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.

Is this role right for you?

    • Understanding of project management principles, including scope, schedule, cost, risk and stakeholder management.

    • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of stakeholders.

    • Experience using project management, collaboration, reporting or scheduling tools.
