Our Corporate Services functions provide vital support enabling our members to deliver efficiently and effectively, make the most of their potential and allow Arup to operate as a truly global organisation. The Global Company Secretariat team, within Corporate Services, are governance professionals responsible for the overall coordination of the corporate decisions and related activities of all entities globally within the Arup Group corporate structure, and ensuring compliance is met.
The role will report to the Company Secretariat Team Leader and will be expected to work as part of the team. This is a maternity cover and is available with immediate effect and expected to end in February 2026. The role is responsible for a broad range of company secretarial activities, ensuring the provision of secretarial services for subsidiary companies worldwide with specific focus in assisting in the following jurisdictions: East Asia and Southeast Asia.
The Opportunity
• Coordination and administration of the subsidiary companies identified as under your remit within the Arup Group corporate structure with support from the Global Secretariat team.
• To take the lead on the preparation and coordination of corporate board meetings under your remit, including drafting resolutions, agendas, uploading of board packs to board paper portal, minute preparation, crib notes and timetabling.
• Oversight and management of relationship with other global offices or local advisors to ensure compliance.
• To monitor developments in corporate governance and regulatory changes, best practices and recommend changes to the Group Company Secretary.
• Support the Global Company Secretariat team during times of peak activity.

Is this role right for you?
• A Chartered Governance professional with at least 5-10 years working experience in the field.
• Wide ranging company secretarial experience in other medium to large-sized global companies covering all areas of responsibility.
• Good knowledge of the Companies Act.
• Experience of maintenance of company secretarial databases, preferably Diligent (or a similar database).
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to interpret, communicate and apply corporate law and governance.
