The Opportunity
Become part of the thriving architecture team at Arup office in Milan whose projects such as Florence Stadium Renovation or MSG Arena are shaping the contemporary architecture scene of the region.
Being part of a team participating in sport and entertainment design, scientific and industrial/technological projects, transport, mixed use masterplans and many other diverse projects working alongside experts in the field.
As an Architect BIM Coordinator at Arup, you will:
- Become the BIM Coordinator of a project for the Architecture team
- Provide strong design support from concept stage and through all stages of project development.
- Enable with digital tools the “Total Design” approach in multidisciplinary projects.
- Work flexibly on projects in different sectors (Science, Industry and Technology, Property, Sport, Transport, Renovation and Master planning).
- Contribute to support the growth and development of the architecture team.
- Contribute to the continuous digital development of our Milan office, interacting with our Digital Technologies and Architecture team colleagues to identify strategic innovation and automation opportunities to improve efficiency in the workflows

We're looking for an architect BIM coordinator who is passionate about medium and big scale complex projects of different typologies in Italy and abroad, designed by a diverse multidisciplinary team of professional.
We value:
- Candidates with a master’s degree in architecture
- Candidates with minimum 3-4 years of experience post qualification.
- Certification under UNI 11337-7/PdR 78:2020 as BIM Coordinator is a plus
- Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (including formal and information presentations, written communications, and reports) essential for team-based working.
- Excellent skill in Revit and coordination in BIM environment.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary project BIM coordination activities such as:
- Clash detection on industry-standard platforms (Naviswork, Solibri)
- BIM Execution Plan (BEP) drafting
- Setup and control over industry-standard CDE (Autodesk Forma)
- Virtual Design Review (VDR) facilitation
- Review and validation of BIM model content according to BIM uses, project LoD and LoI
- Proficiency in Rhino and knowledge of Grasshopper. Good skills in parametric design as a plus.
- Familiarity with Revit automation workflows (Dynamo, macros, basic add-in via Revit and/or C#) as a plus
- Familiarity with integrated rendering engines in Revit and Rhino as Enscape and Veras in a plus
- Knowledge of Autodesk APS as a plus
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite’s Illustrator Photoshop and InDesign
Fluency in spoken and written English, knowledge of Italian as a plus.
