The Opportunity
We are looking for a Science and Industry (S&I) Leader to spearhead the expansion of our S&I market within the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. This role necessitates a robust background in technical design and consulting, complemented by extensive client interaction, business development, and project management skills. Particular focus will be on Science and Industry market within APAC, working in collaboration with other business leaders under the APAC Science, Industry, Technology (SIT) set-up to grow the SIT business. In alignment with the UNSDGs, we consistently achieve significant energy and water savings through efficient energy design and management, fostering the development of sustainable and efficient SIT facilities
Is this role right for you?
Responsibilities:
- Engage with existing clients to expand relationships and services.
- Conduct targeted outreach to potential new clients to broaden sector coverage and deepen engagement.
- Research major opportunities and programs requiring pre-positioning and master service agreement arrangements.
- Develop annual and long-term business plans, including client development, project positioning, skills development, marketing, industry outreach, service offerings, and staff development.
- Keep up with market trends and develop insights on potential of expanding into new business or sectors of the SIT market, and translate that into business plans and actions.
- Coordinate with internal teams across APAC and other regions on multinational client management, global project pursuits, global frameworks, and staff mobility.
- Lead multi-discipline project teams on key projects, including technical/commercial planning, contract negotiation, change management, client contact, commercial management, and up/cross-selling.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the SIT market in APAC Region.
- Contribute to the overall team development in APAC Region in the SIT space.
Qualifications:
- Post-graduate or minimum bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in delivering design and consulting services.
- Proven ability to develop cross-sector project delivery teams, including in-house interdisciplinary and sub-consultant groups.
- Ability to travel and collaborate with local, regional, and global teams.
- High proficiency in both verbal and written English (Cantonese or Mandarin is an added advantage).
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- Professional Engineering license in Hong Kong or other countries is preferrable.
- Established network with clients in the Science & Industry marketplace in Asia Pacific region.
- Experience as a design/consulting project manager with at least 5 years leading design teams for SIT projects and acting as the main point of contact for clients are highly desirable.
