The Opportunity
Join our APAC Data & AI Team, part of a wider APAC initiative focused on Data and AI in built environment. In this role, you’ll bridge the gap between engineering and AI innovation—leading the development of scalable AI solutions that enhance building and infrastructure design, construction, and monitoring.
• Ability to quickly learn concepts in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) domain.
• Support the development of advanced Agentic AI solutions in engineering projects.
• Build and scale Knowledge Graphs and other database development for retrieval and AI search.
• Select and fine-tune appropriate ML/AI/LLM algorithms for optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate Agentic AI into BIM, GIS, and sensor-based workflows.
• Define evaluation metrics and validation plan for Agentic AI system.

Is this role right for you?
Qualifications/Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering or a related field (Master’s/PhD preferred).
• Certification on Data or AI Engineer (Associate/Professional) by AWS/Google/Azure/IBM will be an advantage.
Experience
• Minimum 4 years in Data or AI engineering.
• Minimum 1 year with Knowledge Graphs.
• Experience working with ontologies, graph databases, and query languages (e.g., Cypher, SPARQL) to structure and retrieve knowledge.
Technical Skills
• Ability to design schema/ontology in knowledge graph and semantic data modeling.
• Ability to LLM fine-tuning, agentic workflow (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) and multi-agent framework (i.e. AutoGen, AG2, etc) and MCP tooling.
• Proficiency in ML/AI/Data platforms:
• AWS (SageMaker, EC2), Azure AI, Databricks, Alibaba Cloud, Docker.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning models, MLOps, NLP, and predictive analytics.
• Programming languages: Python, .NET, C++/C#, SQL and Cypher. JavaScript/TypeScript (nice to have).
Soft Skills
• Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team.
• Enthusiastic about innovation and continuous tech discovery.
Additional Information
• This role is based in Hong Kong/Beijing, with flexible remote/hybrid options available across the APAC region.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Assistant AI Engineer position.
