We are excited to continue growing our presence in Latin America and have recently opened an office in Bogota, Colombia. Founded in 1946, we are the creative force at the heart of many of the world’s most prominent projects in the built environment, including the Sydney Opera House, the London Eye, and the Beijing National Stadium (aka the Bird's Nest). Projects in the Americas include Fulton Street Transit Center in NYC, USA, California High-Speed Rail, USA, the Las Vegas Observation Wheel, USA, and in Colombia: the Atrio Towers, Sarmiento Angulo Performing Arts Center, Barranquilla public spaces Master Plan, and 12 Lender Technical Advisor roles for 4G highway projects. 

We are currently seeking a Project Manager for our Advisory team to work in a variety of consulting engagements in Colombia and the rest of Latin America. Our team consults lenders, sponsors and public authorities worldwide in the development, investment, and financing of public infrastructure and real estate projects.


THE ROLE:
-  Project execution and delivery: lead teams for deal advisory, due diligence, and consulting projects with full responsibility for the financial performance of the engagements

-  Business development: support the development of the Advisory team in Colombia and across the Americas region by directing business development efforts and leading proposals

-  Review commercial issues of proposals to ensure the appropriate amount of risk for the company

-  Lead commercial effort and handle client relationships

-  Supervise project teams

-  Advise clients to identify needs and goals for each assignment

-  Develop and maintain strong internal and external networks

-  Have clear understanding of the design and construction process and our responsibilities.

-  Supervise the progress of construction work relative to quality, budget and schedule

-  Integrating Arup’s aims and values into business strategies


REQUIREMENTS:
-  Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering. Preferred master degree in business administration, construction management, and/or finance

-  10+ years of relevant work experience in construction management of infrastructure projects such as highways, airports, railroads, ports, or power plants

-  Must have demonstrable experience leading teams

-  Advanced level writing, verbal, presentation and communication skills with colleagues and clients in English and Spanish is critical

-  Must be willing to travel


PREFERRED:
-  PMP Accreditation
