You will contribute to the growth and development of Arup Acoustics’ consulting capability across Victoria, with a strong emphasis on acoustics modelling and design. Based primarily in Melbourne, you will support projects across a diverse range of sectors while collaborating with teams throughout Australasia and globally. This role plays a key part in expanding technical excellence and driving sustainable business growth within the acoustics practice.
The Opportunity
Perform acoustic analysis using calculations, modelling tools, and field measurements
Develop environmental noise predictions for a variety of projects
Provide technical acoustic advice across sectors including infrastructure, residential, commercial, energy, and performance buildings
Collaborate within multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high-quality work on time
Manage small projects, including overseeing time, cost, and quality, while building strong client relationships

Is this role right for you?
Eligibility for Chartership with Engineers Australia (or an equivalent international body)
At least 4 years of experience delivering specialist acoustics design advice
Strong analytical capability, including advanced mathematical and modelling skills
Proficiency with technical acoustics software, equipment, and consulting practices
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver client-focused solutions
